Well i have to admit that i was well and truly beaten
Just coming off junction 2 of the M6, to head South past Coventry, i spotted you rapidly approaching in my rear-view mirror. I thought that i had got you as i turned right at the first roundabout, when you tried to undertake me on the left, yet my superior grip and acceleration meant that i easily pulled away up to the NSL in the rain.
But from that point onwards, i had to bow to your vastly better driving skills. Your sly move across the solid lines/hatchings to join the main carriageway were only equalled by the braking of the car that you cut in front of. Your bullying tactics by driving literally inches from the car in front, guaranteed that he would get out of the way, and your constant in-out undertaking/overtaking manoeuvres cut a swift path through the light traffic.
The icing on the cake was your left turn at the next roundabout, which you indicated and performed from the right-hand lane (and which i sadly had to witness from afar, as i wasn't trying to prove a point!).
The VX220 is a very nice car - it is a shame that occasionally morons get to drive them
