Nimbus, hope this aint agains the rules, sorry if it is.
This is a pre-emptive strike if you like (ooh, it rhymes! nice )
I'm going to be heading up to Sutton on business tomorrow, so I'll be heading along the A21, M25, then off at junction 8, and then heading along the A217 to Sutton.
Have to be at sutton for 9 - 9:30am, so will be starting out at about 7:30 - 8am
So, what's all this about?
Well, I'm pre-warning any and all scooby drivers that I'll be on the road, and if you see me you better acknowledge me (even if it's just flicking the bird ), I will, if I see you, flash, wave, moon at you.
For the uninitiated, take a look

did almost the same route this morning .
(0715am) -A20- M25 from Sarf London down to M21/M25 junction- M25 horrible so nipped down A25 to Sundridge turn right at lights and first left back over the M25 and into pilgrim's way (good lane). All the way along this , through Waldingham /Caterham and then Springbottom Lane joining the A217 at the end and turning right up to Ewell (yes Cheam Motors for my big brakes).
My point is... not so many people to stare at my P1 or marvel at the warble, but roads that scoobies are built for, even this close to the Big Smoke.
Return route tonight, but I'll be bedding my brakes in so no one follow too close .

No worries Markus,
If you want to post detail about your own car and location etc, then that's down to you. It's only where you're posting about OTHER PEOPLES cars that I want to avoid.
Hope you have some luck.
Cheers

Markus matey, might be better if you don't reverse the route you might cvause an accident going backwards down the motorway!
I did a very similar route the last two Friday afternoons..
didn't see another Scooby in 300miles.....
well apart from Mr Footlongs, who I was meeting..

Watch out for the speed cameras on the A217 between the M25 and the 'mad mile' traffic lights (big crossroads). There are 3 of them that I know of, 1 of them is about 1 1/2 miles from the M25 (about the same position as the first petrol station, just after the top of a hill), 2nd half way between and the last one just before the traffic lights behind a load of trees. They're all in the middle and could be pointing either way, you just won't know until you get there . The mad mile after the traffic lights can be a good burn up if you meet the right opposition, know what I mean.... .

Talking of Speed Cameras I was casually travelling through the roadworks on the M25 (junction 6 to 5) on my return journey on Friday braking to 50mph (the limit) reading the sign saying 556000990454756 offences recorded thinking it is b*ll*cks and they just add a couple of hundred to it each day when a van doing about 65mph behind me set off the camera... laugh... did I ever!
Driver didn't look to pleased... funny that.

well, I must say I'm disappointed. The only scooby I saw was red saloon with what looked like high level spoiler and RB5'esque wheels, think this was in Tonbridge.
I travelled back through really nasty rain at about 1:30pm so if you waved/flashed and I did not acknowledge, I'm sorry, was concentrating due to the nasty weather.
