lol
BTW - cheers for that.
I have had some other pics taken recently, including interior shots, which show boost gauge (who told me it had one of those? I dunno )
Question is, has anyone seen it moving on the road recently,
and no Taz/Jolly Green Monster, you don't count!

Hello Markus...
I was going to say "I've seen it" but you know that already..
only just found the new "Was it You?" today......
I was also going to ask if you had fun fitting the bee sting ariel as I want one... but I see from your site that it was already on it when you got it... doh!
How is the Black Beast going?????
I nearly bought some 17's.. until my insurance company wanted too much once fitted... shame...

JGM:
BB is fine, MOT is coming up in April so it's going in for a full service and MOT, which should perk it up at bit.
Also going to give it a wash and wax, sometime soon, as it is looking more like the brown, or even grey beast
Who you insured with? I was with admiral and they did not mind too much about me saying the car was modified, but that might have been due to me being an existing customer and I was changing the policy from my mondeo to the scooby. On renewall I went via Schofields (cheers Rum*) and they really did not mind the mods.
Would love some BK Racing 238 17 or 18 inchers in Black Chrome, as I think they'd suit the beast. Otherwise a nice set of 17/18 OZ F1 cup's would be nice, wrapped in finest Toyo T1-S rubber (which is what I have now, though the pic above shows the really worn out bridgestone rubber that the beast used to have)
Also want 4 pot calipers up front, and with the service looming and the possibility of needing new pads and discs it might cost the same to get a used 4-pot setup with discs and pads, as it would to get all new discs and pads. Think I'll do the 4-pot upgrade later on, maybe during summer, all ready for winter, and possibly a trackday at brands hatch

LoL Markus.
I see you are still playing with pea Shooters !!
The edit PIC looks the Muts nuts, but the pipeage is far to small !!
I'm still thinking of doing it !!
Anyone got a spare HKS pipe ??
Edit cos I forgot to say.
Yes I have seen it, parked next to it, even saw Mrs. Markus [SuzyQ] a sleep in it, but that was Brands a few months back, when it was cleaner than my silver WRX.

oi! you been looking at me bird! SQ did have a little nap whilst at BH, don't blame her, it was exhausting watching all that metal flying around, plus chatting to lots of the 'usual suspects' also hanging on for dear life when going out with Kim and Dom (thanks for that, will repay you big style when I go on track!, though after the drive up to the AGM I dont think Dom would get into the car with me )
jeez! you're WRX must have been really, really filthy as I seem to recall the beast had, oooh, a good five mins of washing before heading out to BH. Maybe this year it'll actually make it onto the track, then I'll have some real fun.
As for pipage size, well, it aint the size, it's what ya do with it

Thw WRX was Brown the day of Brands.
I had my eldest 2 boys with me and before we went in to Brands I took them to the far side so we could have a look, down the back roads which were under 3 inches of mud, which then became a game of spin it round & round again dad !!! in a building site entrance.
As for pipe size I use HKS for Men !!
I never looked at your bird, I was laughing too much about the size of your pea shooter exhaust !!
I bet Volvos have bigger exhausts than the Black beast !! LoL
MMmmmm Track days, I dont think I will pass the noise tests.

Barge,
noise tests, yeah, I wondered about that, I know that a poofs exhaust like mine won't make that much noise, but I really did think that the beast sounded louder than other cars razzing around
Was told that BH should not be a problem as they have to contend with the motorway nearby, so noise restrictions are not meant to be that harsh. Other circuits could be a problem.
Just have to wait and see I guess.
Oh, and the volvo might get a nice HKS system, now that would be a laugh!

Going back a bit now...
I am insured with Zenith through the AA and got a quote (through AA) for a car with alloys already on and although they had to swap to a different company got the quote for same amount.. bought a car without big wheels and didn't think about it and just insured it through the AA... and of course they went with the cheapest company which wont let me change the wheels unless I stump up more cash... at 1258 to start with they can whistle for it...
Previous to my slight mishap with the previous Scooby I would have just changed them and the exhaust and not told the insurance but I think it is a bit too much of a risk now... I don't think I could have got the wheels off to change them once I had finished with the other car.
So standard 15's it is until renew time next year.....
gotta go, and do some work

Mmmmmm
My car is fully insured.
The Insurance co know about the exhaust etc.
I dont think adding a second tailpipe will make any difference to the insurance cost, but as will all the mods I do on any car i check before hand, that is why I never fitted a high rear spoiler which I purchased first [and have since sold] as the insurance co think it makes it more nickable with a large spoiler.
Personaly I think its nonsence. but to stay legal and insured I complied with there request not to fit it.

beast is insured, Rum* knows about all the mods on the car, which is good. I'd rather have to fork out a little more come renewall time if I mod it anymore, than face the insurance co not paying up in event of prag/it being nicked.
