AUDI TT 8 SCOOBY 0
#1
Drove approximatly 1 mile near the Leeds horsforth roundabout yesterday morning and spotted 8 audi TT's and not in single scooby in sight. They might be a nice looking car but but too many become common and boring and thats one thing that has never been said about a scooby...

When I drove back to London from your neck of the woods last Sunday there was not a single Scoob going my way, but I spotted seven Porsche Boxsters!! Common as muck!

After seeing the brilliant handling of a TT on the German AutoBarns, pre revamp I decided that if I wanted to go head over heels it would be at a fairground and never in a car.
Why do TT's think they are better than scoobies?? Have a look at their web site for 'reports' of racing with us and thrashing us!! Will these scooby owners please at least start their engines for these 'races' ;-)

Funny this has come up as I've been thinking about it all week since people on here keep saying scoobies are common. Driving into work this week, havn't seen one other scooby.
seen:
Loadsa TTs
Loadsa BMWs - incl. a few 330ci's and a few M3s
Quite a few Golf GTIs
Porches - two new 911s and the usually load of Boxsters
I normally only see 1 or 2 scoobies a week when commuting, sometimes don't see any weeks.

Can it be said that Scooby's and TT's are aimed at totally different markets?
I'm on my first Scooby, and absolutely love it Quick, handles well, and enough room for the family! Silly though it sounds, this is important to me, couldn't afford two cars, one for practicality and one for fun. My Scoob gives me both
Incidently saw one of those Ford StreetKa's for the first time this week, they seem to look very similar to a TT

The last thing on my mind is Pulling Birds when I got the scooby, but some people may need a car to do it? but if you think an AUDI TT is the bees Knees then go to it.I think you should give the female side of our species a little bit cred .Happy Pulling what ever your pulling.

Hmmm, I'm thinking green is the colour. Come on guys a 911, not a poxy falling to bits, £10,000 example, but the real thing, I think we would all go for one of those, or the like, eh

going back to 'common' cars, was talking to a girl in the pub last nigth who said she loves Scoobs but would own one cos they're getting too common.
She drives an Astra SRi... the conversation didn't last much longer.

I had a TT and it held the road really well, had a lot of mid range power and was quick (its the 225bhp version). Ive now got a UK300 scoobie, it seems more sluggish until the turbo kits in, looks more plasticy inside but i do prefer it to the TT as its more fun to drive, and as long as its over 3000 revs id say its quicker. HOWEVER ... i also have a tuscan and this eats scoobies and porshes and everthing else thats tried getting my into a race (on private roads of course). Of them all the scoobie is definatly the most practical and gets used most.

Is your UK300 a PPP version? If not get it, and get rid of the rear cat and centre section, (I have TSL replacement), you should have a few more bhp top end but mid range overall is fantastic. (And I am told it will still get through MOT cos you still have front Cat) It will pee all over a TT. Mine is MY01 UK300, that spec.

btw - I had the first customer delivered 4.3 Griff in 1992. Had it for two years - BIG grin car! Still have the reg plate if you want it - TVR43X.
