seemed pretty fast!
I had mine measured at 244bhp
what about yours?
I must admit mine did feel kinda slow for some reason last night
and I was giving it everything

 

The last time we put it on the rollers it measured 240 BHP, but since then we had the induction kit and downpipe fitted.

So now maybe about 250 ???

 

sounds about right
not bad considering as standard its only 208?? Or am I wrong?
Mine has Apexi indciton kit, and HKS exhaust, but it can't have affected my power by much, as mines supposed to be 240 standard

are you on the a12 alot? I was taking my girlfriend home so maybe we will meet again!

 

Yeah I think standard UKs are just over 200 BHP. We bought the car with only back box and it already had I think 220 BHP, so it must be a nice set up or something

We usully go to Halfway House meets every second Thursday of the month and this is our way home.

But now and again I am "allowed" to borrow the Scoob and I absolutely love it !!!

We've had it now for about year and a half and we still grin every time we drive it

As we don't naromaly use the A12, I watch out for speed cameras and Robert drives, and I shout CAMERA !!!!!!, he slows down. We are a bit mad though.

Sometimes the cameras are in the middle and they can be turned either way so we play a little game a guess which way they'll be facing .....

Had mine since July and yes I do love it.........BUT
The petrol is getting beyond a joke. When I first got it I thought 210 miles for £30 was ok. But in 14 days this month I've spent £170 on petrol!!! Its a joke. The trip to my girlfriends is 50 miles there and back, so thats where all my money is going
I need a crap £50 car to use and keep the scooby for wkends

 

The petrol isn't best, but to tell you the truth is't not all that bad.
It has about the same consumption as our previous car (Astra GTE E reg) and you would have thought it would be much higher.

Robert uses the car to go to work so we do have quite large bills BUT isn't it worth it ???

Yeah it is worth it. But it is costing me a fortune and there still thousands I want to spend on it! I want the spoiler that you have!
I recently relaed the brake pads all round and new front discs. That was £400. I had a coolant hose split, so I replaced with Samco hoses! that was over £100! and thats just in the last month!
Not to mention the £240 on speakers, £70 on a carpet, £200 for delimitation! blah blah on & on & on
Just really fed up of spending all my money on cars. Even though it is my fault!
I've been well hapy with it though. Lovely to drive. I just want it to have all the mods on it now!

 

I know it's like you have to spent money on the car otherwise it won't be hapy

We just bought front mesh grill, clear side repeaters, the flamer kit and Robert is getting for Christams A- three pillar pod WITH the gauges

The spoiler is great and don't let anyone tell you it doesn't make any difference to driving .....it does Well...... ours does anyway

Try to buy stuff second hand, it's much cheeper and still same quality. We were posting in the for sale section like mad last year.

 

yeah I know, thats a good idea.
I might try and get some alloys second hand. Cos they urgently need replacing
But for now and the next few months I'm buying nothing but petrol for it!! And when I've paid off the credit card I might consider treating it to some lowering springs

Leanne has only just started learning to drive
and I've only been with her just over a month so there's no way shes driving it yet! ha ha
In fact I can't see any reason why I should let her drive it at all maybe if she's lucky she'll get a go

Yeah I'm well happy with the exhaust. Its well loud. And absolutely massive too!!!!

 

ooooohhh wait till I tell her you said that ....it will be expensive

Luckily Robert lets me drive it but anyhow it is "our" car, we bought it together so I guess I have a right to drive it don't I ?

I work for a travel agency - and no I don't get any free flights

Robert is looking for a new job in IT which is proving to be quite difficult especialy before New Year.

Nothing great but we get by.

 

I deal with alot of IT contractors thru work
some of them get pathetic amounts of money!!!
no free flights!!! That's not fair! not even a discount?

 

Well, yes sometimes a discount, but it's only a small agnecy and we only do Eastern Europe, that's where we come from you see. So we get cheepER travel back home.

I know IT people get ridiculous amounts of money, that's why Robert wants to get into it No really he always loved computers in gereal so it would be great for him.......
