PTMW keyring?
#2
This is a longshot, but a blue Vectra (R-reg) flashed its headlights at me (silver MY00) on the outskirts of Bishop's Stortford (Thorley Street) this morning at around 09:00.
Was it PTMW, and do I get the keyring?

That was indeed me
Heard on Vibe about some crash on the M11 involving 2 lorries, south of J8 southbound, with 8-10 miles of bollox, so I went cross-country from Gt. Shelford to Harlow. Only arrived 15 minutes late!
I actually saw 3 silver scoobs (1 wagon) between BS & Harlow & waved/flashed @ 2 of them. One must've been you, guessing on the 1st I saw nearer BS (saloon).
To win the keyring you need a few more letters/numbers than that mind

Not fair!
It was at the traffic lights at the bottom of Whittington Way (I'd just come around the corner). If you were avoiding the M11 why didn't you use the bypass (A120 all the way to the next roundabout from where I saw you).

Because it is quicker to go through BS than round the by-pass!

Quote the entire sentence Puff:
Unfortunately I don't have a Trak-U unit ( ) but I think London Road, Bishop's Stortford, junction with Whittington Way, you going Sawbridgeworth-bound at 09:05. In fact, I think you were pretty much opposite the bus-stop on the carriageway I was using. You would have passed the school I went to about 400 yards beforehand. In those days the buses that stopped at that stop were the 500 and the 333, but I'm not sure now

I suppose that I will take as evidence a full/part registration (min 3 consecutive letters/numbers) or a very precise location

haha PMTW u really know how to take Scooby ownership to new levels. Do wagon owners get preferential treatment? U probably wont be around my way, but my wagon driving oldman could do with a PMTW keyring. Are these special PMTW one off rings or just some tat from a petrol station?

Special edition PTMW! keyrings - 10 only
I don't believe in old tat - shame on you for even suggesting it
Originally handed out to hapless passengers @ Brands in November 2000 as a reminder of their experience I ended up with 2 left, one for me (of course) and one was offered as a prize in the spot me and my vectra comp that carl is claiming. That was awarded to dsmith in April sometime after he came to my house & saw the vectra. However carl is really the legitimate winner probably according to the rules, so I'll have to go a searching...
Oh & you'd be surprised at where I turn up!

Said Key Ring then cost me £50 as I was inspired to go and get somethings similair for myself and the wife.
So anyone care to offer me £50 for a limited edition "PTMW" keyring then I might consider it....
If I'd realised it was so valuable before I'd have put it on E-Bay

Yeah Histon is North Cambridge mate. First junction off the A14 as you join it coming from the M11 on Junction 14.
I'll have to keep an eye out for you. I drive an X reg DBM MY00 Turbo with 17" Gold Prodrive 7 wheels, pink sti grille badge and a green scoobynet smiley on the windscreen so you cant miss me
Simon.
