have had several conversations on 'who was that type R' ???

 

Yeah that GTi R was bloody quick, i had a little race with him on the A414, he held on till about 145 at which point i started to pull away, was a little shocked as i managed to reach 167mph, i even scared myself.

Where do you guys usually meet up - i live in St Albans

 

I think i can find out who the Gti r was as i have seen the car down at SCC performance in St A.

 

Racing? us? sat night? with our reputation??

Anyone see me make SJ's scooby look like it was going backwards? Joking mate!

PS: We raced all the way upto the 60mph limit, never above.

 

Usually meet at the Chequers on Redbourn Road.

Keep an eye on the Southern forum for meets there. A few of us also do the surrey meets / BHP club @ Southend.

I need to find out when the Dunstable cruises are on, they should be fun - and a little less far to go

That was my mates GTi-R...............he was following you cuz he thought you with the convoy going to SJ's but you pulled off at south mimms I think. His R is not bad is it? the GTiR was running 1.2 Bar and can do 1.4 when its set up right..................standard box will only allow 150ish.............gets there bloody quick tho!!

P.S I was in the Black GTiR (the nice looking one ) tyring to remember what brakes felt like

 

Don't know who Sj is - i was on my way back from Southend and just happend upon a Scooby convoy and joined in the fun!!!

And it was fun!!
