Scooby police car ?

Spotted new shape WRX posing as a police car Saturday in Nottingham (dont ask where cos I was only visiting).
Is this something new or is there lots of policemen now enjoying the pleasures of driving them ?

North yorkshire police have some marked ones as well as a blue 4dr classic shape unmarked. i have also been informed they have a green unmarked one as well.
i have been teased by the blue one who came flying up behind me one morning on the a64. i put my foot down upto 90, he followed, i lifted off back down to 75, so did he, he then put foot down and came past giving standard scooby wave in his police uniform, i waved back. nice one i thought!

Oh ****, i thought North Yorks Police only had the classic shape jam sandwich. I shall have to keep an eye out for the un-marked ones.
I always get a grin of the Copper in the marked one as we pass each other. He obviously loves it, cos he seems to drive way over the speed limit all of the time. Funny thing is, i'm yet to see it speeding for a reason. (do ya need one?)
