dont be blind with stamps and milage, i have stamps and at 51k cambelt service, tried contact garage but no longer exist, after one year (weird noise from pulleys and tensioner) did it- 200 parts plus 100 ,changed by friend and guess what -never changed before, better buy it cheaper do it yourself as parts now will cost you max 250.
and one more in uk often they change belt only its cheaper but.....
milage -simply clocks change between mot will give you low milage.
70k on it needs soon clutch change thats a bigger deal than cambelt(in parts)
18" wheels, with coilovers at that price, maybe few whitelline mods. 03-04 model
05-not sure about it as 2.5 litre will push me off.

Thanks mate for the info I think your right and I have looked and seen so many but just never really fell for 1 just yet I'm a firm believer when you find the right car you no I yourself so many many I have been and looked at and just don't seem right.

I think your right in regards to doing it all your self just to be sure

Do you think for £5000 I should fine a decent example of that year ?

Cheers

I got my 53 plate wrx 7 months ago on 52k miles, one owner, full specialist history, new cam belt full mot & tax in absolute mint condition, factory standard apart from sti spoiler for £4800,I even got the private plate worth £800 with it! Lol.im the same as you,I looked at dozens before I bought mine some a lot cheaper and some more expensive but It just didn't click! But when I see mine it just looked and felt different! so had to buy it :-) keep looking and there are some nice ones which have been looked after still out there
