I have a 2002 outback and the gearbox is playing up also the diff is making strange noises. I am looking for another gearbox for it. Code number ;- TZ1A4ZFDBA - RY. I have tried to findout what all the digits mean. There is loads of information about manual gearboxes, but very liitle about auto boxes. Can I fit a box with another code? Will any TZ1A4ZF-- box fit and work okay?
Can anyone help PLEASE?

I have recently acquired a very low mile 2.5 legacy outback with transmission code - TZ1A4ZFAAA the car has headgasket failure but drove perfect,

This gearbox will fit but i would also fit matching rear diff for 100% peace of mind.

I can supply box and rear diff for £450 delivered
