Default Big brake kit

I'm after a big brake kit to fit my 51 plate uk2000 turbo wagon.
I've got a 308mm godspeed kit and the discs & ds2500 pads are shot.
The kit was put on in 2005 at a price of £945 & it turns out from the part number on the calipers that they are from a 30yr XJS
So on finding that out I've decided to change the whole lot.

I'm after Brembo's, AP's or K Sport etc with discs & pads preferably.

I'm in Essex for pick up or please inc p&p in your price.

Must be in good condition.

If they are out of your price range then your only option is Brembo's

Yeah brembo's are the only big kit you'll get under 700 quid.

What do you have on now? I'd guess being a godspeed kit, they are AP Racing calipers, which are one of the best names. So I wouldn't be too hung up on them sharing the same part number with an old XJS.

Brembo's are gonna take 326mm disc, but getting wheels to go over them is a different matter. There are not loads of wheels that do, and only once style of OEM wheels will clear them.

So just because they have the same part number dosen't mean there from a 30yr old Jag then.
I have some 18" inovit tarmach waiting to go on so clearance isn't a problem.

Pic's of mine below

If you go to Brembo's you will need to chnage your WRX wheels.

Having 18's doesn't guarantee they'll go over the gold sti Brembo as they are wide. There are some 18's that don't fit.

If gold brembo's are your only option, you're welcome to try one of your alloys over mine. I'm near lakeside.

I'd get Ian at godspeed to confirm if you can get bigger discs for yours, the pics ain't very good, but the look like brembo's too, and them get them refurbished, because they do look 30 years old.

That's very kind of you mate but I know mine fit over brembos as That's what the guy had who I got my wheels from.
Pic's are off my mobile and the car is filthy as we've had no good weather or I've been working to clean it.
I've spoke to godspeed who need A picture to confirm the calipers.
New 308mm discs will be £250 then it all depends what pads I want.
I just need to clear up this part number business and decide what I want.
The calipers work great so nothing a bit of paint wont sort out.
I'm also thinking of the group buy on the K Sport 356mm 8pots.

Pic of one of my new wheels to go on.

I just need to know what they are and get a price for new discs & pads.

HI
I gave you a price the other day on the phone , discs are £250 a pair including a set of nuts and bolts , pads start at £75 depending on what compound you go for , I would only need to see a photo of the calipers to see which ones you have fitted to supply you the correct shape pad as back then there was 2 types of calipers we used.
Yes your calipers are the same as a Jag XJS , but they were brand new when the kit was bought , not 30 years old as you have mentioned as I bought about 20 pairs off a company that was closing down.

Cheers Ian

Ian, what is the disc size limit on these?
Paul&Bon, I could be interested in buying those calipers, depening on the disc sizes available.
Are they Bremob's or Ap's?

They're 308mm.
Offers on the table. I haven't a clue what they are worth.

My old Godspeed supplied calipers are for sale. The discs and pads are shot but the calipers work fine just need a clean up and maybe a paint.
Brakets and a new set of braided hoses supplied as well.
They came off my uk2000 turbo.
£200 Ono + p&p although collection is preferred.
