Default 17" Wheels and Tyres for Classic

£300 waiting for a set or anything but gold wheels. Not interested in anything standard. Must have matching tyres and not the usual ditch-finders that some people seem to think befits a car with 300bhp!

They are 215/45/17 but I will have to check tread depths and makes for you tomorrow in the daylight. Will get some close up pictures for you too.

Sorry for the delay, here are the pictures. Tyres are 215/45/17 91W rating. 2 are Bridgestone Potenza RE050, 1 is Bridgestone Potenza RE050A and the other is branded EVENT - it has a similar tread pattern and has reinforced sidewalls, 5mm tread on this.

Tread depths in the picture from left to right are 5mm, 4mm, 3.5mm, 4mm all taken from the centre. The edges on the RE050 tyres are more worn but I believe they would still pass MOT.

As you can see in the picture there are 2 spacers, these came off the front wheels and are 4mm thick. The offset may also be slightly more than standard as the rear wheel arch edges have been rolled in, although the car is also slightly lowered so I don't know if this has been done for the lowering or wheels. Car has subaru 4 pot brakes on the front, spacers may have been fitted to give extra clearance.

On the inside of the wheels it says they are made in Germany. They are quite clean, just some double sided tape where weights have been removed. There are about 12 nuts with them (non oem ones) but oem also fit. Personally I would fit slightly longer studs but they have been on the car with the standard ones with no problems.

Thanks for the detailed explanation, it explains why the fronts look like they do. I think I will Jolson for something more standard with matching tyres and the correct ET. Good luck though. Mark
