Is there anyone out there who wants to let a good rolling shell go for cheap as it will be going to a good home where a high power new engine and re-spray awaits, as im not sure my car is straight after a crash.

Im in desperate need as the engine is supposed to be fitted next week and im running out of ideas.

Im after a 1998 if poss as thats what my current classic is.

I may have one available that I am removing high power turbo, ecu, engine, gearbox, prop & diff from to transplant into a type r. Do you need a Version 4 or 5?

From none to 3 possibilities i like it.

 

the outside is exactly the same apart from the front mount.

interior wise all you need is the centre consol section and trim where the radio and cigarette lighter goes. its an ultra rare special edition. i think there is only 4 on this site. and about 20 left in the world. engine bay wise everything is there will chuck in rad and anything else that should be there for the engine to work. needs a fuel pump though which is nothing all running gear is thereincluding gearbox. the only thing i will say is i want to keep the tyres unless you want to pay extra for them the whole of the above without tyres £800.how does that sound?

yeah all dorrs and panels are on mate im in hoddesdon herts only 5/6 junctions on m25 about 45 mins. what do you mean by breaks ?

also has mot for 11 months and tax for a few months your wlcome to come and view first pal

Just in the process of trying to find out whats involved to have my engine put in this car as ive alreadt bought a Apexi power fc for my V4, can't get hold of my engine builder at the moment.

 

no worries pal i actually also have the power fc for that car in it already if you were interested and then sell your 1? if it makes life easier otherwise i think you have to change the loom. then it should mean just plonking the engine in and yes all brakes are on and the rear are brand new aswell.

nah mate the shell is strait and how it should be and no rust. 350 sound ok thats £1150 for all that lol?

I may stand corrected but the version 4 was made between Sept 97 to Sept 98 so a 98 car could be either 4 or 5

 

Ok mate well tell me as much as you can about exactly what i will be getting as a 'rolling shell' Interior, exterior, running gear etc and it could be worth going straight for this instead of transferring to a V1 but im open minded at the moment

a have a stripped version 2 sti shell.all thats on her is rear lights,wiring loom,front and rear screen,master cylinder,pedals,thats it nothinng else.shell only covered 56000 miles in mint condition.406 silver.looking for £200 if any use to you.here pic of car before it was stripped.http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...3/DSC00340.jpg

 

After a 1998 car for definate now, as it seems a waste of time selling power fc and other goodies and re buying for another version/year

 

I have a MY 98 wagon in silver if thats of interest missing engine and gearbox front wings and bonnet come get it £800 full leather interior

 

in a few weeks time i will have a v3 which is the same as a v4 i believe. sept 97 mine is. it will come with all doors. and windows. can supply dash but i need to take it out as someone is having the wiring loom although yours is the same as mine and is a 3 plug ecu.. good condition. had the ariel smoothed and is straight and true. never been in a smash although has been a few coulors (i was picking and was spraying myself) i have all the pics from when it was stripped back and painted so you can see what you want.

might even be able to bring it to you on the trailer provided you cover costs for fuel and my breakfast lol
