Simon,
I wanted to colour code the grills below the front indicators, so I already had a tin of DBM that I bought from my Subaru dealer, although it just came from the local motor factors. I guess Halfords would be just as good, if not better.
The reason I was asking about Lyneham - my wife-to-be's little sister and her husband are both based there, Stuart and Lisa ***. Well Lisa's now left to have family, and Stuart's over in Kuwait just now.
Last time we were down, we were lucky enough to get a look round a Herc, one of the older ones, not sure which model. Bl****y magic anyway. Made a very long drive home to a normal job.
How's about some piccies of the finished badge?
Edited to say I've just seen the pics of your car in the members gallery. That looks really good in that colour. Maybe colour coded badge as well instead of pink?
Mike.

Simon,
there's a thread going around about this. I did mine a few months back, colour coded to DBM.
Carefully prise the badge off, I used a small screwdriver. Then just use some fine wet & dry, you'll be surprised how quickly the paint comes off. I put a few bits of masking tape around the front edges to prevent overspray, then just several light coats of paint. A sticky fix pad like the ones for rear view mirrors and it's back on, job done.
Think I took about 1hr in all, with Lorna's hairdryer helping the drying times.
So it it Lyneham you're based?
Mike.

So these badges should come off with some gentle levering?
I tried my and its not moving, feels like its going to crack.
Did you heat the badge before removing it?

sorry then. don't think it will fit. Mega stream, then badge is just stuck on simply with things like "sticky fix it's" like double sided tape. just comes up with the help of a flat headed screw driver. with my shape that is.
