hello
looking for help, need the above asap as mines has crapped it

knocking coming from bottom end -

anyone any ideas what else will fit?

the car drove great and was really quick - so i will need to be carefull with what i buy
im told i can get a new 2.5l short motor and use my own heads etc

please help as i dnt have a clue about these cars

Get a 2.5 block imo

 

Dynamix, on here, has a good 2.5 short motor for sale. It'll take your heads & ancillaries OK.

 

I have a V3 sti bottom end removed to fit my 2.5 closed deck, no knocks. Was fully rebuilt by scooby Clinic 20K ago by the previous owner. There are no pistons only the block complete with crank, rods and bearings. Light scoring on the cylinders so a hone would not go a miss (cheaply done), pics on request. dnbradley2002@yahoo.co.uk
