yeah, that would be it, i already have a blitz bov but like the sound of the HKS although some say it gets a bit annoying after a while! and i want to get the exhaust sorted before it goes to get remapped (new engine management being installed)

Only reason I asked if it was for that particular type r is cos you've put in your post that it has to be for a v4 type r? but you list your type r as a 99 model, which would mean its a v5 or possibly even a v6, its wearing a v5> front bumper too.
Looks stunning tho, I love it!

have you no pic of yours, i take it is a type r also, dont know what way all these models work but it is registered as a 99, the vin number or chasis number thing all matches (traces) up to be 99 but i was told it is a v4 cos of where the coils sit on the engine!! in the centre instead of sitting to one side, but i love it anyway, will be even better when i get it tuned up.

Yeah I've added some pics in 'view my scooby'.
Mine is a V4 so you can compare with that.
Your seats would be different to mine if yours is a v5 or v6, the v5-6 seats have a red bit going around the top of the seat and down both sides of the bottom part of the seat, where as mine has just red bits on the shoulder parts. The engine is a good way like you've mentioned, and if it is a v5-6 engine then the coil pack would be on the right hand side of the inlet mani, where as mine is in the center.
When was it imported? who ever registered it could of registered it as a 99 if it was imported in 99 rather than having it registered as the build year.
Someone may of just changed the front bumper to a v5 one if they prefered the look, and fitted a v5-6 high level spoiler, easily done. Mine was imported with a v5-6 high level spoiler, and I'm glad it has it as I love it!
