Nice reply Are you aware there are 3 shades of 74f ??? Type R Pete on SIDC has one in his shed i think. Thats as new.

i bought an sti 5 spoiler and boot lid!
bolted it straight on , perfect match!
must have been lucky.

 

When my car is next to Type R Petes they are vastly different colours. You were very lucky.

I work in a bodyshop and there are only a handfull of colour with only one shade and even then it never matches when u only paint one pannel.
As a rule u have to blend the pannels around the new pannel to make it blend in to the original colour. If u don't do that it will stick out like a saw thumb!
(with most solid colours like red, white, black, etc u can get away with only painting one pannel)

So the odds of u bolting a wing to ur car and it match with out painting it r slim to none

 

Thats new to me ,how do i know which paint to order then 74f?i have heard some people call it sonic blue and others world rally blue,
lets please not start this type r p1 debate that sn always goes on about!!
I dont mind what car the wing comes off as long as its the same colour!!

 

If u took your car to a bodyshop to check the shade they should have all the shades sprayed out on to sprayout cards which they will check against the car and pick the best shade.

Your colour is called 555 rally blue-met

Click on formulations online then general search then go from there.
U will find all the different shades on there for all the colours for every car ever produced!!
