just replaced mine and it only cost me 140 quid for a new core in warrington.
Got told where my went was very common for subarus........top water pipe joint was splitting and creating nigara falls when warm.
Just a little advice on what you should be expecting to pay.
He did quote me 200 at first tho,little persuasion later and 140 it was,....cash

 

cool, its looking like i'll have to buy new if nothing come up!
