I'm after an induction kit for my scooby and am on a very tight budget so CHEAP is the name of the game.
Also as i'm new to this so can anyone tell me:
Are the easy to fit?
Will they make a lot of noise?
How do they compare to replacement performance filter elements?
Will my car need tuning after fitting?
Thanks

I've just fitted a s/hand Piper X kit to my UK MY94. It was slightly fiddky to fit and took about 1.5 hours. Have a decent set of socket set is helpful for removing the old filter.
The sound is quite noisy when you first drive the car after fitting but know I am used to it I only notice when I put my foot down, nothing the stereo won't drown out.
One point, this may just be the way I've been driving since fitting it but by fuel economy seems to have improved?

May well be very interested in the K&N. Gotta check the finances as i've just spent 285 notes on a new interior from a '00 Turbo (I know, what a bargain!! But still 285 notes).
Will this one fit my '95 as I know they do a different one for the '97 onward. How loud is it? How many miles has it done?
I'll get back to you tommorrow when i've checked the bank.

Paul,
Looked at the finances and after this deal i'm gonna be broke for a while. Especially as i've got to drive to Wales to get them.
Sorry

Paul,
If the induction kit is still for sale at the end of the month I may have it off you. I presume it's the 57i for the earlier model. How much use has it had?

I've got an HKS induction filter which may soon be coming off my UK MY96. £180 new so I'll be looking for £80.
Dunno how easy it is to fit as it was done for me by BR Developments. Usually pretty straightforward.

How soon is "soon". I placed an order today for a new K&N to arrive Friday so if it's in the next few days i'll probably be interested. Can cancel the order then.
I'll have a look at the HKS on the net as I may just cancel the order anyway. Can you let me know when you're thinking of removing it. Also How loud is it? How does it compare to the K&N? How old is it?
