I have a 96 UK 5dr and after finding there was no Haynes manual bought the Repair Section of the official manual which is over 2in thick from my local Subaru dealer for £90.

Andy, thanks for the info .. I may have another solution ... it looks like the haynes Manual for the Legacy 1990 - 1998 .. on their web site £14.99 (cheaper in the US - it is a US manual!) has all the required info .. certainly the 2.5 Twin OHC engine matches with my 2.0L Turbo .. it even has a Turbo section ...
