Craig,

Pete's V4 never materialised, not Pete's fault but the third party was taking him and me for a ride. I paid for that particular Engine over 6 weeks ago.

Time,

Car has been minus an engine for 6 weeks now, im riding around in a 1.3 Fiesta and it's starting to drive me barmy
Big end went, original engine still runs but sounds like a bag of bolts.

In fairness to Scoobysport, Pete is doing his hardest to find me an engine which, fingers crossed, has been found. We've both been messed around twice now and im hoping for third time lucky.

Because im am now a total Pesimist i am looking out for 'forth time lucky'

Pete @ SS had a V4 one a little while back when I was searching for bits for mine. May be worth a bell.

Neil,
I'm approaching 3 months

With the cost of a 2nd hand engine, why not just get a forged crank, ods and pistons? Or is the block damaged?

At least I've got the Lupo - scarey that it's starting to feel quick

Good luck anyway.

New Engine is in the process of being fitted as we speak. Pete came good on getting a clean STi IV engine.

My original engine is a version III. No idea of the damage (still runs though) caused by the big end failure but it will be examined in time and will be up for auction.

Offers around £750 - £1000 secures (it has a closed deck block)
