Anyone got any, or know where to get any, top hats for the springs on 93 Legacy turbo estate? These aren't the top mounts but just the top spring cup and the rubbery bit. I've tried Central Subaru, GradeA Subaru and loads of other people including most of the scrappies in London. Only thing people want to sell me are the complete assembled struts. There must be someone out there.....

what do you need? Are these different to impreza tops? I have various struts etc.

Pavlo, I bought some springs but when I removed the struts from the car and tried to replace the springs I realized that the struts are from an Impreza which has a slightly smaller top hoop on the spring which means my springs don't fit. It now makes sense why the car was so low - because it had Impreza suspension which is for a much lighter car.

So, yeah, the Legacy springs/top cups are different. I haven't got the rears off the car yet but chances are that they'll be different as well. There's about half an inch difference in the diameter of the top hoop of the front springs. You got any Legacy bits?

I did the same as you with imp struts!

but I think I will keep some legacy parts to return to standard, which I take it you didn't!

I am getting some coil overs in the meantime.

I bought the car as it is - just assumed it had been really slammed with some legacy springs.
