RoShamBo,

Not sure if you know but... you can get new Toyo Proxes T1-S 215/35/18 from www.mytyres.net for £95.70 each, including delivery! I thought that was quite a fair price.

Cheers,

Kev

Thanks Kev

Great price - trouble was I needed one tyre that day & they were quoting "over 1 week" delivery as they source them from Germany.
Scoobworld managed £119 with next day delivery.
Will now probably order another (I am replacing both fronts) from mytyres as there is no real urgency on this one.

Ro,

No problem mate. Question for ya.. how does your car handle with that size tyre? And what pressures do you inflate to? I have anti-roll bars (rear adjustable).. do you think that'll make a difference to the pressures I will need when I get my 18s?

I want to get the balance just right between bar adjustment and front and rear tyre pressures.

I use 34 front & 32 rear - tried 36 all round (a popular option) but proved too hard.

I went from 16 to 18" wheels & the handling is much better - & more grip ! - though at a slight cost in ride quality (which I can live with)

Ro,

Agreed, I'd prefer the car to handle sharply before being the comfy grand tourer type. Only ever had 17s (oh, actually borrowed some 16s once, but never drove hard). I found 205/40/17 handled better than 215/40/17. I reckon 215/35/18 will be equally as tight if not better when pushed.

Cheers,

Kev

I do like the way it handles on 18" rims....I find I am attacking wet roundabouts with much more confidance now !!
