yip a super chip ,but what was happening was the boost would hit 18psi in 1 2 3 gears but in 4th 5th the boost would climb with the revs after hitting 18psi this was because the actuator couldnt open fully due to the shortened rod it was ok upto 16psi after that i think the rod becomes to short thus not allowing the rod to move to a fully open position , so you then need to do what i did or buy another actuator with a stronger spring in it thus allowing higher boost with full rod travel

You mentioned that you turn it out to drop it to 10 PSI, was this in 4th & 5th???

Can you recall how many turns you made??

When you fitted the bleed valve what did you turn the boost back up to? and did you get a lot of lag by doing this??

Have you still go the Legacy?

Regards
Dean

yip 10psi in 4th 5th,turned rod right out then used a boost gauge to set boost higher buy turnig rod in one turn at a time , that way you dont end up with to much boost to start with , and no dont think the lag was much ,but now you mention it you do get better spool up time on turbo without bleed valve ,i think thats why some people use a dawes ,but what the **** once the turbo is spinning in 1st gear you just keep on giving loads of power in all gears then you dont realy notice turbo lag
