Surely changing the bells will just change the location of the discs? The calipers will still be mounted in the same place and so will still foul the wheels? Unless you are currently spacing the calipers to fit?

Personally, unless the bells are limiting your disc choice due to odd bolt number/spacing, I'd just fit 3mm spacers. It's what I did on my Bug with WRX wheels and AP 4-pots (3mm spacers also I think). Much cheaper than bells and you get a little track increase too.

Been running 3mm spacers for last 9months. Calipers are mounted solid to hubs .
I would have to use spacers on the calipers if I got proper Subaru fitment bells.
You can see on the picture how shallow the bells are compared to Subaru bells.
Just thought it might be easier to replace discs and bells together and relocate calipers to suit

Without the risk of being smart the only problem I can see here really is your wheel offset and if you were to go and buy bells and discs (original) you'd probably be into the price of a set of rims with the correct offset. With the AP kit you get shims/spacers to centre the disc in the caliper that's all there for nothing else. If your discs are in the grove in the caliper I would leave well alone and get yourself some nice shiney rims

Wheels are fine 9j et35, they cleared brembos and ksport easily. It’s just the offset of these evo bells that’s causing me to use the 3mm spacer. My discs and brake pads have no life left in them so have to be replaced ASAP.

Where have you the spacers fitted between the hub and the disc ?

So you want the bells to position the disc further inboard? And then fit spacers between the hub and calipers?

Here lies the problem you can't do this either there is only a small amount of tolerance for the disc to run in in the caliper. Hence why I asked did he have the spacers inbetween the bells and the hub.

Do the stock calipers not mount in line with the axel? I have adapters for my APs to mount and I can space them out but can't remember whether I can move them in/outboard also.

If not then as you say, the bells are irrelevant. It is the calipers which are the issue and which only spacers or different wheels will solve.

If he has everything up and running with what he has it has to be the bracket that mounts to the hub and the caliper that needs swapped. I can't understand what his problem is at the minute apart from he wants new discs and or bells. You can move them in and out but very little it's only to centre the disc on the caliper which AP supply shims not spacers as such.

Just read this again but he also says that the brembos fitted but they would of fitted straight to the hubs where as the AP's have a vehicle specific bracket so what he needs is the bracket to suit the impreza hub and bells and discs to suit

So it just needs a spacer between hub and adapter to move the calipers inboard. Then new bells to move the discs inboard also so they align.

Or wheel spacers

Or new wheels.

Basically if that's what he wants but I'd rather have the correct bracket. Then he will need new bells and discs.

Spacers are only fitted so my wheels clear the calipers. I need new discs and pads anyway so I was going to get correct Subaru fitment bells which move the discs in board then adjust/make caliper brackets to suit.

Sorry for any confusion lads

As per post 11 if alls working correctly you'd be better of buying a set of rims. You could end up with a headache
