Hi all. Im looking for an Impreza Type R. Preferably one with few modifications. Just missed out on a really nice looking one that I saw on Pistonheads from Hurst car sales. what budget you got?

 

Well, I've got 13k to play with but don't want to spend the whole lot on a car. So thought if I budget myself to about 6.5-7k, that should get me a decent enough R?

 

gonna struggle to find a decent one at that price tbh, i picked mine up for 6k about 7 months ago and while car is solid engine has died, if the engine was still running i owuld still be looking for 7-8k if i wanted to sell it so prices have jumped.

 

I have seen one on eBay but it's about a 5 hour drive away from me. It looks clean but don't fancy driving all that way & it not be as nice as in the pics

 

I would be willing to stretch a bit further but like I said I don't want to be spending the lot on one

O also just in case, stay well clear of clives performance/clive prestige or similar named comapnies, they have been buyiong up alot of the cars out there but you don't wanna be dealing with em, just in case you hadnt seen anythign about em

I have a r very high spec has only the best of goodies arc hks apexi greddy kakimoto volk ce28 but I'd be looking for 8.5 k

Im thinking of selling my type r soon, it's currently got a 6 speed in it but I could remove that and put the original 5 speed dccd box back in and bring it into your budget.
