Hi guys I noticed today that the fins on my intercooler were flattened so I painstakingly moved them back to the original pattern,it seems to me that after a spirited run they tend to fold over.The questions I,m asking are

1.Why does it happen.

2How can I prevent it

3 Is it doing any harm if I leave them as they are?

Road crud, grit and stuff.
Any restriction in flow will have an effect but putting someting in the way to stop it happening will have the same effect.
