Hi all,

Im looking at getting a nice diesel family car but unsure what to get. I like the VW Passat cc tdi and the bmw 3 series 4 door. Anyone had one of these or if they are any good.

Even though its a family car, still want it looking good looking lol.

our daily ride for the last few years has been a 1.6 Seat Altea TDI with Auto/DGS. Been fab, goes quite well, & well built (cheaper than the VW)

 

We going for a Skoda Octavia VRS TDI 170 next, after considering swapping our current Fabia VRS for the new version but had a ride in an Octavia the other week and I was very impressed with it.
I'd say you'd pick a better Octavia for your budget than a VW Passat due to the badge on the bonnet. Above all else it's your hard earned so go with what you like most
