Default She's Finally Finished!

Thought I would put a few pictures of the car on for you guys to see.

I will try and do a project thread at some point.

It has been a long 4 months with some ups and downs but she was fully mapped last week and I have just about finished cleaning / polishing.

I am really pleased with the results, using Racerom in 'Race' mode boost is set to a very safe 1.6 bar giving the performance shown (estimated as this was road mapped). Very driveable but pretty rapid if needed.

Hopefully the weather is better on the 30th!

It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile…winning is winning

Which ACT clutch did you go for? I'm stuck between the SB4-HDSS and the SB4-XTSS, did you buy in the UK or import from the US?

Nice engine build as well, I'd be interested to know what figures you achieve on your full fat map.

Bought the uk, went for the extreme pressure plate and ss disc as the disc could be upgraded if I ever go above 550ft ib, unlikely. Can't fault the feel so far, very usable.

Top guy (53), did an awesome job with the chassis and handling. Just needed a bit more poke. The engine was the next bit on Stu's agenda.

Tell me about it. Nice to go to the SWS meets in a Subaru, not an electric green machine?!

Estimated 486hp. It was quite a complicated application Bob used to calculate, so a fairly accurate estimate.

Only restriction according to bob is the MAP sensor, need a 4 port to push a bit more boost.

I totally understand that, but how good did you feel when you finished it?!

The same goes for any depreciating asset! Once the buzz of a new purchase, usually a car, wears off you normally wish you had saved that cash. I have thought that loads of times, but there is no feeling like it, especially having a good input into the planning and built.

I doubt I will get bored of this any time soon.

Yes I know what you mean mate i felt great when my car was done and all built by my own hands from a bare block but once i got use to it and when on runs ect...realised that some cars running just over 300 plus were never to far away from me and thought what was the point of me spending so much in the end lol

Your car is very nice tho and hope to see it about soon mate

Hi Guys.

This is not a sales thread yet but I am considering selling the scoob. No other reason than lack of use and wanting a more exciting daily driver than my current Lexus CT200h. I cant bring myself to put a shed full of miles on the Spec D as it is quite rare to find a genuine low mileage specimen like this. When I do change the lexus to something a bit more interesting it will defeat the object of having a toy sitting in the garage getting used less than it is now (once a fortnight).

The car has now just tipped over 15k miles and the engine has done 3K miles. She is immaculate still and still smells like a new car inside. She is very easy, smooth and relatively quiet when driven conservatively but as Coolerscoop (Dean) will vouch if you open her up she is a beast will awesome handling.

The modifications carried out by the previous owner 53-Stu are shown in the original sales thread and my engine modifications are shown in this thread.

https://www.scoobynet.com/subaru-444...e-example.html

I obviously wont give her away as the sale is not about generating funds however I do appreciate that this is fairly unique car that requires a buyer specifically in the market for a car like this to command a fair price.

So, giving you local guys a heads up first and also keen to get some opinions of value.

I am also assuming I can still attend the monthly meets even if not driving an impreza, I just couldn't go on without the monthly mega carvery!

Cheers

Pricey

Can't believe you are even thinking about it!!!!
This is a great example of a Subaru, nice sleeper looks, but a hell of a spec to finish off a great car.Wish I had the money to take her off your hands.
Top spec,no work needed just, drive and enjoy!!!!!!
Dan
