Very Special Day Today
I spent this morning walking up Pen Y fan. Now it's something I have done way to many times in the past but very few times for my self and never for anyone else but today was different.
On the 26 May 12 Captain Stephen Healey of 1 R Welsh was killed by an IED in Afghanistan.

Before his death Steve had walked from Llandudno to Chester on behalf of Blind Veterans formally St Dunstans blindfolded.
After his death his two young nephews, Josh and Joel, decided that they wanted to do what Uncle Steve did but Everest was their goal! Having explained that Everest was a bit much they decided on Pen Y Fan but blindfolded!
Today was the day.
Well done to an eight and four year old.
