Default Snow Foam Lance Choice

I am looking to buy a snow foam lance which I can attach via a standard Hoselock coupling to a standard water hose.

I am just going to use it to pre-wash the car as I have seen what a good job they do but I am not really sure about which offer the best VFM and results.

I know the chemical has the biggest effect, but there is no point in buying a good chemical product and then finding that the lance is absolute pants.

I know there are some experienced show and shiners plus some professional detailers on this forum so all advice gratefully accepted.

I believe Simon got his from polish bliss, I'd say the product your using is more inportaint than the applicator but James will see you right on both accounts

they dont work unless you attach to a power hose , it need the high pressure to make the foam. Even just putting the chemical into the powerhose detergent bottle doesnt work as its low pressure.

Thanks guys, I don't use a power wash on the car although I have one for the patio etc I don't really want to have to get it out for just snow foaming the car.

Peter, is the one on your group buy one that uses a power wash?

Unless you're going to use a Powerwasher I'd not bother Ty, the only one that works from a hose is the gilmour gun but the foam they produce is rubbish. If you don;t want to get the PW out, you're better off with a pump sprayer and a good pre-wash agent. (check it's PH neutral and therefore won't degrade your wax though.

If you decide to get a PW one (lovely nice thick foam!) Petes group buy sounds good!

If it gives results like the second picture then I'll not bother with hand washing again, yes I'll have one please Peter.

And I bet the owner of that car was a good looking chap indeed.

Could you send me details of the group buy Peter? I've been thinking of getting a decent foam lance for a while now because the one that came with my Nilfisk power washer is useless!

I'm in work today, so won't be able to meet up. The washer I need is inside the brass connector for the powerwasher (karcher type). I have a washer set here but none of them seem the right thickness to seal and stay inside the connector. I was going to pop into pirtek in swansea, but haven't had a chance yet. If you can get your hands on any, let me know.

Thanks, Rich.
