Default Going back to standard headers

Well iv'e decided enough is enough and going back to standard subaru headers..

I bought new stainless steel headers & up pipe a couple of months ago and have had nothing but problems...

Where the up pipe and manifold meet i can't stop it blowing on the joint, iv'e even tried using two gaskets doubled up and after a few days it's blowing again

It shows when you only pay £240 you get what you pay for.... crap

Its' a lesson learned, in future it will teach me not to be so tight and buy cheap rubbish again.........

Iv'e looked through the forums and there are quite a few people who have had the same issue as me...

I would only trust the RCM with things like that.

2 bolt flange per chance??????

But even the cheapo 3 bolt flangey ones can be a nightmare as the gasket surfaces arent flat and the gasket just pushes out of where theres no clamping force holding it in.

sorry to here this mate but think your doing the right thing if you do go for another set i would go for a 3 bolt flange been in the same boat as you before and cost me more in the end and should have gone for the good set in the first place

I know lee, bit gutted mate as it's a pain to swap it over again, wish I'd read a few reviews before I bought them...
With buying the standard ones now and all the gaskets I've gone through it would have worked out cheaper to have bought dearer ones in the first place....

I think most of the cheap ones only last a couple of 000's miles. Worth buying the good uns

Port the standard ones before you stick them on, easy to do yourself
