Default Offset washer on suspention arm!

Hello, today I took my car to have the camber adjusted on the rear of my 1995 classic inpreza because my tyre's were wearing only on the ends.

Anyway the bloke went to do it and noticed that the offset washer that you adjust to do this is not on my car.

So where can I get some from urgently!

I'll try post a picture to show you what I mean.

Thanks Claire

Do you know if these are offset washers by any chance?

Thanks Claire

Yep. That's the reason for the post . It hold the bolts through the rear track rod to hub, is concentric and adjust's toe. Did mine recently when I renewed the complete rear subframe. Have a look in my "Loads To Do" thread.

Ian did identify the right washer. It should have a mark on it like a line that you line up with some grooves on your rear diff carrier. On is own it does look like a washer.

Post a pic up and we will tell you if it's correct.

What about the bolt then?

Someone else has told me maybe I need the bolt which has an off set head/washer on the bolt.

That'll be a washer. Not what you required.

Claire, I think the bolt you need has an offset head which gives you an elliptical adjustment of the camber.

Thats the one, but everytime I speak to keith price or gravelles, no-one knows what the hell I'm talking about. I'm getting quite annoyed over it to be honest because they make out as if I dont know what i'm taking about. 3 weeks i've been trying to get this sorted.

Went to dave coe to ask him, showed the boys there what I was talking about.

So I know i'm not talking rubbish.

Have you tried Import Car Parts? They are pretty good and should know what you are talking about.

Give Keith Price a ring and insist on speaking to Justin in parts, I'd be very surprised if he can't help you or ask to speak to Peter the workshop supervisor.

Have a look at these links, the first one shows the rear suspension strut

http://opposedforces.com/parts/impre...hock_absorber/

And the rear suspension with diff carrier

http://opposedforces.com/parts/impre...ar_suspension/

That should help you a bit further.

I think it's the bolt shown with the suspension strut you need.

Bolt number 11 .

20540AA111 Bolt camber .

The bolt on the left end of the link arm.

Import Car Parts only have the Strut bolts and not the Diff Carrier camber bolts.

And of course the words 'Thank you' are implied by their absence.
