Default cd player problem

Hi, when I put a copied cd in my 2007 Hawkeye it says 'rom area' and won't play. Why its doing my head in.
Am I doing something wrong
Windows 7 media player used to make discs

Same car, mine works fine , you need to make sure you burn it as a audio disc. It sounds as if you have made a data disc and that wont play. I use nero express to burn mine.

as above if you have made an mp3 disc/data disc,with say 100 songs then head unit,may not be mp3/data compatible....make sure its set to write it as an audio disc....

Hi, used i-tunes to burn one and it works fine. My mate tried the cd in his pc and its got some encoding on it???
