UPDATED
Ok everyone.
I have had a chat with a few of the members and I am putting the feelers out for interest in a Sunday Family Lunch meet 14th August 2011.
Option 2 as been the most popular and the lunch venue is booked. They are letting us have a full corner of the pub as long as we get there for 12 o'clock lunchtime.
Meet at the Morfa Stadium @ 8.45 am and make our way out on to the M4 past the Fabian Way Shell should you need it then Margam Park/Ogmore By Sea/Southern Down and on down the main drag through Llantwit Major, top end of Barry along to Culverhouse Cross and if time allows a quick run to the tunnels and then back up. Off the M4 a J32 and head to Merthyr, take the turn off to Nantgarw Hill and then the A483 to the Travellers Rest Pub
.
They have a website you can get the postcode from or view the food.
http://www.vintageinn.co.uk/thetrave...estcaerphilly/
The list so far is.
1. The Trooper 1815 .
2. Cannon Fodder.
3. Ozz and the crew.
4. Rob Legend for ketchup!
5. Gibzy.
6. Matscooby.
7. Mutley1927.
8. Craigmiam.
9. Scoobygems.
10. Rich D.

Ok chaps and chapettes, I'll start the ball rolling and speak with the hostilry about our visit.
I won't book food as they do a normal Sunday Roast with Beef, Lamb, Chicken or Pork as well as a fine menu of other stuff. I can recommend the whale and chips (it's not really a whale just a maooofis lump of fish). But I have worked my way round most of the menu so far
.
If you want I can book a space for us but we have to be there by 12.30pm. After that it's first come, first served and it's a popular and busy place. They have a garden and outside area for you to lose children in
, I mean keep them safe.
Ding dong.

Sounds a good day out, May drive on this one and let the other half be a passenger for a change if the pace of the drive out is a little more sedate. 14th would be better for me, either route is fine.

I'll amend the original thread to reflect the majority have opted for the 14th August 2011.
I am speaking with the venue tonight to confirm the table booking
.
Sadly, I cannot accomodate all of you but the majority have opted for the 14th.
Details to follow.
Regards
Ian
