Calling Danny Boy or someone with Knowledge on the K-Sport 8 Pots
Well slight problem here, i've fitted my 8 Pot Fronts today and new braided lines. Hers the problem, I have bled the brakes as normal and there doesn't appear to be any air coming out. Taken it town the road and the pedal is really soft and pretty much goes to the floor at first until I pump it, is there anything in particualar to look out for with this setup?
Also the scooby is a Ver6 Classic with ABS does this affect anything?
Cheers Ryan.

You haven't got this setup right, don't drive it until it's fixed.
You did pump the brakes before going anywhere, Ie, you pushed the pistion back out to push the pad against the disc. this can catch a few people out
you have got the brakes on the right side, Bleed nipples at the top??? and you did bleed both sides of the caliper?? also, did you top up the fuild as this should of gone down alot if changing the lines and calipers, and you did bleed the rears also?

The cars not being driven anywhere mate I rolled it down the street.
Yep I pumped the pedal with a mate the traditional method of bleeding brakes. Pump till its solid and then release the bleed nipple, then repeat and so on.
Calipers are on correct and bleed nipples at the top. I havent changed the rears yet but also havent bled them. I only bled the front passenger then front drivers side. Im guessing there is still air in the system still

When i fitted mine, they toom ages to bleed, but i changed all of them 6 pot rears nd 8 pot fronts.. Mite have to do the whole system mate. Start Back passenger, the rear drivers, passenger front then drivers front..
As Danny said, Make sure you've done both bleed nipples on each caliper.. Good Luck

I don't mean pump the brakes to bleed them, I mean once you bleed them and tightened the nuts. You need to pump them a few times in order to push the pistions back out to push the pad against the brake disc, or the first time you press the brake nothing happens as the pistions have to travel to far before pressing the pad against the disc and nothing happens!!!
you have to bleed the whole car, even if you only change the front calipers.
Do a search on here as you have to do it in a certain order not just round the car clockwise

Hoping the weather is ok tomorrow then I may aswel change the rear then give it a good bleeding allround.
Yep I bled the inner nipples first then outer. I thought the same as you about bleeding the furthest away but the official manual says Fr Pass, Rr Driv, Fr Driv, Rr Pass :s I dont think its that big of an issue though.
Did you have any issues using the standard master cylinder?

Job done, bled the brakes all round today and they work amazingly. Just curious did you noticed that they weren't quite as efficient untill the brakes had a little bit of heat in them?
Also whats your thoughts/opinions on disconnecting the ABS when running brakes of this size?

What pads are in them, I found the Standard/Race K Sport pads were rubbish, in fact they were leathal.
If they need a bit a heat in them the pads are proberly a fast road/race pad
I swapped mine over to Yellow stuff and they complety transformed the kit, I would swap them over for to the new Bluestuff if you want a very good setup

With the bigger brakes fitted I would not want anything locking up and flat spotting the tyres.

Dan I was told the pads were for road use, dont get me wrong they stop the car but they really come into their own when warmed up. Can you recommend the best place to pick up those EBC pads you recommend?
Cheers.

A few of us are using the Bluestuff and I think i can say for all they are the best we've tried. Very good from Cold and awesum when warm.
As said Ian has them in stock (Not sure about the rear 6 pots though)

I have EBC Bluestuff NDX on my Spec C, they are on AP CP7040 6 pot calipers and as Danny has said the performance is amazing.
My Spec C doesn't have ABS and I've never needed to use it yet and tbh I don't see the need on a good brake setup.

There are 2 different pad widths available for these calipers , the 51mm wide pads are £114.18 a set and the 54mm wide pads are £128.72 a set.
All the ones we have supplied are the wider pads , some sell you the cheaper pad thinking they are doing you a better deal , but you lose out on braking as you dont have as much material gripping the discs
I always have these on the shelf and you can pick them up from Bridgend or we can post them out with free delivery
We can also fit them for you while you wait if you wish
Cheers Ian
