It is with deep regret that I have to let you know that Richy's (VC) wife, Donna, passed away on Saturday 28th August.

I have spoken with Richy and as you would expect he is in a state of utter shock and bewilderment. Many of you may have met Donna and knew what a great person she was. Rich needs some time with his family and close friends at this tragic time.

Please spare a thought and think of Richy and the children at this sad time. I will be going to see him soon and will pass on our condolences to him.

Ian, please express my deepest condelences to Richy and his family.

I have only met Richy a handful of times but he is a thoroughly nice bloke and was always willing to have a chat and a laugh.

Ian, I am deeply shocked as we talked about his wife's illness last weekend and she appeared to be getting over it when we spoke, it is really tragic that Richy and his son's have lost their wife and mother.

O.M.F.G. I am dumbfounded. Richie, Donna was an amazing person wife and mother who always had me laughing. She has given so much to so many people through her work and no doubt improved many and saved lives over the years. Its such a shame to hear this. I really feel for you and your two children. Its true what they say about losing the good ones. If you need anything mate you only have to ask. Stay strong for the kids and when they are in bed have a huge F ing Bifta out the back and let it all out. All our Love, Gazz and the family.

 

I have spoken to Rich today. The little fella is in a whole world of shock and bewilderment. He's holding things together as best as anyone can in his situation but like all us hardened types he's still squishy inside.

As some of you know Donna was the little blokes world. Donna was a nurse and provided so much support to other over the years and it's such a tragedy that her loss occured. The children are holding up well at the moment. Rich is staying strong for the children and the rest of the family. He's asked me to pass on his regards to you all for the comments you have all left.

When I get further details I'll let you know. Again, many that's to you all.

Can't believe the news when I heard it yesterday!!, Donna was a fantastic lady with a heart of gold.

this news took me and nic by total shock, you cant express in words what richy robyn and joe are going through, im sure they know that we are all there for them all whenever. your a good man ian and thank you for leasing with rich and keeping us informed on how he is, i text him but didnt like to ring as i bet he is fed up of saying the same over and over. Donna was a lovely person and as someone said it only ever happens to the nice ones but she must be needed elsewhere to carry on her carring work love to rich and the kids and you know where we are if you need anything at all x
