Default Oh well. I've done it again.

My poor gearbox has given up on me again.

This time it was 5th gear/top gear. LOL. Wasn't gunning it to much either.

Really want to know what power this thing is pushing out now.

time for a PPG or something similar. Wish 6speeds wernt so expensive.

Perhaps it's time that I gave you driving lessons then...

I think your right though a PPG kit would be a good idea as I think a 6 speed gearbox would ruin the drivability of the RA but perhaps a P1 longer 5th gear would be a good move.

I second the above Dyl. Got to be cheaper in the long run.

Really love the ratios in Ty's C. And they are very simular to my 1-5 but it has the added benifit of 6.

Plus I would have larger driveshafts, 180diff and a very strong gearbox.

PPG are having a bad name lately.??..

Really tempted by Dave ESP's classic right now.

Didn't Captain Slow take the Bugatti Veyron to 268mph?

I think that the ratios in the Spec C are the same as a JDM STi which are different to the UK STi.

To be honest the PPG arn't as cheap as a 6 speed,

Normally around £2.5k for the gear kit, so around £3k fitted, I know you would fit it yourself, you can get a 6 speed set for around £2k.

Scoobyclinics gear kit seem to be proforming better than the PPG stuff at the moment, running 600BHP/600LBS in drag use and coping quiet well, think it is around £2.5k

Ouch. Sorry to hear that Mat.

I have cancelled insurance and put the car up on Axel stands ready for engine removal, gearbox removal and a full strip down ready for the paint. Will do the same as what I did last time and remove everything and get it all bead blasted and powder coated. Get some nice bits for it and get it back together for next summer. Hopfully stronger and faster then ever.

AND maybe a liltle quieter. But I don't know yet. No one really coments on it?

Yep.

Took it for a little drive down the road and back, I jacked the car back up and checked the underneath to make sure everything was okay still and found oil pissing out from the back of the box where the prop shaft goes in.

Bite the bullet Dylan and go 6 speed cheaper in the long run + the box will always have a good value. If the cars coming off the road for the winter loads of time to track down all the bits.

Sorry to hear this, at least you can do it all yourself and save one the labour.

On a better note, I fitted the caliper and am now back on the road.

Thanks, Rich.

Good news Rich. Have fun in Germany.

If you stumble across a 6 speed by any chance. Pop it in the boot for me.
