Default changing a shock absorber (05 wrx)

Guys.......

I'd appreciate your advice here........I've got to change a shock absorber as the knocking is driving me mad...........is this something 2 people could tackle with just a trolley jack ?

Thanks for your help

Fitting new suspension isn't difficult and can be carried out by yourself, but remember to mark off each top camber bolt position. This with enable you to roughly get the camber correct on each corner and once the suspension fitted adjust according with the car parked on a flat surface and a camber gauge. If you don't have camber gauge have a garage check your geometry but your toe in/out should be effected by changing your suspension.

You'll need to take the rear seat out to get to the top of the strut, it is easier if you unbolt the seatbelt tensioner as weel. The other end unbolts from the hub and should be pretty straight forward. Also unbolt/unclip the brake lines and any other wires from the strut before you try and remove it from the car.
