Default Is my car a magnet for random moving objects

I mentioned a while back that when I picked the car up last month a brick hit the windscreen and smashed it.

On my way to work last night a thoughtless idiot of a woman threw her cigarette butt from her car only for my bonnet scoop to eat it. I was following her along the M4 towards malpas and had to pull over once I had left the motorway to retrieve it.

Then on my way home this morning by Mamhilad a squirrel looked like he was enjoying himself playing "dodge the tyres" with the traffic. He successfully dodged the car in front. Another idiot woman who saw fit to brake and swerve on a dual carriageway to avoid him.

Well I didnt swere, nor brake and I hit him at 70MPH. BLAM.

I couldnt be arsed to stop and see what he damaged. Nor could I be bothered to repsond to the idiot womans look of shock and disdain.

I had a look once the car was in the garage and luckily no harm done.

But honestly though the car seems to attract all manner of objects.

I've seen a few sheep that have been hit on the road from Penderyn (nr Hirwaun) to Brecon.....they were well and truly dead. Baaaaaad news for the sheep.

On my way to work this week I had to avoid a pony and lamb (on road named above), two rabbits and a kamakaze pheasant. I've also seen the **** of a pidgeon real close as it tried to fly away from my approaching car in the direction I was travelling in.

It all happens for me in the early hours (5am-6am'ish) on Monday mornings, every week. The joys of working 200 miles away from home and a 9am start time.

Ian, did you find out who owned the gate or had it escaped from the back of a van or something?

I once ran over a breeze block on the M4 one cold dark November morning in my track day CRX. The floorpan, s/s exhaust and petrol tank took the brunt of the impact. My tank sprung a leak and I lost £30 of vpower too I never found out who the culprit was nor did I know how to claim against the highways agency.

For the older ones amongst us a sheep fits quite nicely in the grill of an Austin A35

Same here.

I just remembered that some years ago I was taking a mate who lives in OXford to his mum's in Scotland late one night.

I was keeping my speed just a shade under a driving ban when I hit a rabbit.
Mercifully I hit him before I had time to react. I soon as I saw it I hit it.

It would have been potentially devastating had I reacted at that speed but luckily I didnt. It didn't work out for the rabbit alas as he blew up. Literally.

No damage that time either. But I was in a hire car so wasnt bothered either way really.

My car has been a bit of a magnet for concrete! Last year something that looked like a council brick bounced off the bonnet, dont have a clue where it came from but i was a motorway speeds! Then, a couple of months ago a concrete block was eaten by my front lower grill opening, killing my aircon rad and punching a hole out through the inside bottom of the bumper!! I heard that and felt it.

Talking about things getting run over, i did see an 18 wheeler go over a sheep on the Penderyn road, and i mean run over the top of it, all wheels on one side......................messy!
