When my car is finally finished I'd be up for this. I missed the Elan valley meet last year.

I'll contact Richy and see if we can sort another joint meet at the Elan dams as he has contact with the park ranger.
Last year our meet was towards the end of summer so suggest the same.

I think we are looking at somthing along the lines of last year, seemed to work out ok. Can you check with the ranger to see if we can get a green light for this year?

 

Sweet lamb complex (large car park area) on top of mountain.

Do David / Mark Higgins own this area and complex?

Would it be worth trying to meet at this car park, arrange for toilets and some catering to be in place and would be awesome having an aerial photo of the scoobies spelling out "Wales". All depends how many cars would attend.

Think this rally stage is quite central / not far from Elan Valley?

Think Higgins is good friends with Steve Perez who has a helicopter.
If we all chipped in towards the catering/toilets and aerial photo?
- any thoughts?

 

LOL, at Sweet Lamb Complex... Have you ever been up there in the wet? I took the 22B once with a mate in his P1 and weeks later was still finding bits of debris in places you wouldn't think crap would get! I don't think the likes of the show and shine people on here would be too happy going up there, at least the roads are half tidy at Elan Valley...

 

Ive been asked by a place in ellsmere,where he said he wants a big meet and has enough room for upto a thousand cars.He wants club stands,he has a cafe on site and toilets,but i need to find out a bit more info.

 

might be a bit to far north for some of them though kidda , but we do need to find somewhere , i do know a few people at the royal welsh showground in builth wells , maybe able to get in there ???

 

Never been to Elan Valley. Builth Wells is quite central as you say Rich.

 

Élan valley is stunning, TBH I don't see the point of changing thisas it ticks all the boxes.

 

What month will we be aiming for ? August or September ?

I have suggested a provisional date of Sunday 8th August 2010, as long as I get conformation from the rangers at Elan Valley that this is OK this will be the date we will be aiming for.

 

Sounds good Richy, this will be our 5th or is it 6th joint meet at this venue.
