I recently had a mapping session with Bob Rawle on my S202 and Bob said he would give me a power map/data spreadsheet showing the figures achieved.
I cannot upload the Excel file as Scoobynet will not allow me
, if anyone wants to see the file just PM me your e-mail address and I will send it to you.
I am thinking especially of the renowned font of all knowledge (you know who you are).
The power is not quite what Bob estimated at 354bhp but it did achieve 348bhp which in a 'lightweight' newage is enough (for the moment that is)
, the turbo spool is good and the power delivery can be a little savage especially in the wet.
Also the torque figure achieved is 338 lb/trq which is a little higher than I had thought.
Next on the agenda is ported headers/up pipe, full 3" exhaust system (being done in January at Prospeed) and possibly an induction kit.

As a footnote to the above when the mapping was carried out I had a leaking gasket between the turbo and exhaust downpipe, I don't really know how much of an effect this would have had on the power achieved but it certainly did me no favours.
Tyron,
Do a screen grab of the graph in Excel (save as JPG) and pop that up here mate
Fair play to you as well for getting the exhaust sorted next month! Blimey you don't hang about.

Dean, not sure how well this will come out as an attachment but I will try.
I definitely cannot upload the second page which shows all the relevant values which really does need to be looked at on a spreadsheet to make sense of it.
Plus the exhaust is being sorted as the downpipe needs to come off, so I came to an 'agreement' with Prospeed about the price of the rest of the system as I expressed how 'cheesed off' I was about the downpipe leak after he had changed it back in Novemeber.

I thought the pub figures are what we all do it for?
lol - unfortunately it is only the pub figures that people profess to understanding... try and explain what torque is and how that makes for a quicker car and glazed looks follow very quickly before you get the question .... how fast does it go meester
?

I just wonder how the FP turbo, injectors plus the other mods and another remap would do for the figures
I know the lag would be greater on a modified TD06 20g but what would the end torque and bhp figure be...
The STi CD block, rods and pistons plus gearbox could take the power but would it make a good road car?

Sounds good to me Ty, 350bhp and 340lbft is about what i would like to get to one day, should make for a good all round road racer
I Still havn't seen it yet either, looking forward to it since i have never seen one before!

I recently changed the front and rear pads/discs so mine need to be run in as well but I plan to do it with some serious brake abuse.
I was told to carry out some serious braking from 80-0, let the brakes cool down and then go out and do it again.

As you know first hand Simon, it now goes like a rocket.
I will be sticking with the sports cat Glenn, I really don't want the hassle with the new VOSA legislation coming in.
Plus of course having to get a cat fitted every time the car needs to be tested.
Roll on January so I can get a full 3" system on the car.
