Cool POSSIBLE SWS TRACKDAY

I've had a think about this over the weekend now and think it would be a good day out
How about a trackday at Llandow just for the SWS people? I dont mind finding out prices and availability. If the numbers are a bit short maybe think about asking some of the MLR boys if they fancy a day out too for some friendly competition

Have a chat with Matscooby

He looked at this last year.

It's about £1500-2000 for a week day and about £2500 for a weekend, Split that between 15 people and it's not to bad.

I'd be up for this, providing the cars ready by then

I was looking that if it costs £2000 for the day 20 cars would equal £100 each for the day. Obviously depending on numbers this price would go up or down
Im sure we could get 20 cars easy as its not that demanding a track.

Sounds good to me I think Llandow does close for an hour for lunch break.
But to be honest it's nice hour to have off, let the car have a rest

Thats sounds good to me also.

10 cars at a time for a max of 20min in sessions, if open pit its upto you but I wouldn't go past 20 mins otherwise you cook your engine, brakes and tyres.

is there any db levels ? No noise limits at Llandow

and what is ALL day ?? All day is start at 10 and finish at sun down or 6pm I think.

some tracks make you stop all action for an hour around lunch does landow do this?? 1hr break is compulsory at Llandow to give the marshalls time for a break. [/QUOTE]

Sounds good to me There is 2 ways of looking at how many spaces we make available more cars = a cheaper day but on the down side less track time.
I would say no more than 25 cars,if we run it on a saturday then it would be £92 per car

Personally im with Danny, go for a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday at 20 cars that would only work out at £69, i wouldn't mind booking a day of work to do that.
Gonna have to look into how much track day insurance would be aswell.

Ok guys. Just spoke to Sharon up at Llandow and june 20th is booked up. Earliest saturday is august so i think it will be a mid-week event. Everybody happy with a wednesday?
They only allow a maximum of 10 cars on track at one time so if we go for 25 cars it would work out at just over £55 per car. Depending on intrest if we could get 30 cars then this would drop to less than £50 for the day wich i think you'll agree would be excellent value

They way it works is; They need a £500 deposit when the track is booked and the balance of the payment paid 7 days before the event. The way i look at it is that it would be easier to pay for the whole lot at the same time instead of having to collect money of you twice.

Ok then. I will need at least 25 DEFINATE names before i ring up to confirm a date. Would be some time in June which gives nearly 2 months to sort time off ect.
Based on 25 cars the price would be £56 per car.

i think 30 cars would be best (3 lots of 10 on track) 20 min sessions gives 40 minute minimum gap for engines etc etc,,,,
if we cant get enough scoobys maybe we could say a max of 10 other makes and then the scoobys could run together and the other makes can run in the other slot ???

im a deffo on any date
