rsedwards fitted my Prodrive lowering springs and uprated rear anti-roll bar link arms today to my car , he did a top job and even washed the car down afterwards , if anyone needs any work doing to their cars get in touch in Rich I cannot recommend he highly enough.

Even on the short drive home and without the steering geometry having been done yet it has made the handling far more positive and the car no longer sits as high as a tractor either.

 

I have the prodrive Fast Road competition sprinbgs on my Blob, awesome handling if a little bumpy..

I have a Geometry printout of how the car should be set up, let me know if you want a copy

Well it's funny you should mention that...

 

In the box with the springs was a steering geometry sheet from Prodrive giving the correct settings and tyre pressures but if you have the settings as well I would appreciate them.

Right With the Prodrive spring kit and uprated front Bump stop it says it should be set up as follows..Instructions from PRODRIVE (I am also running PFF7's 18")

11. The tyre pressures and suspensiuon geometry MUST be set correctly to the figures below to achieve the full benefit of the spring package. It is also important to settle the suspension so the geometry is set at the correct ride height.

a) Set the tyre pressures to:

Front 2.3bar (33psi)
Rear 2.1 bar (31psi)

b) Settle the suspension by driving a few miles on the road.

c) Set the Geometry to:

Front camber -1degrees 15mins (-1.25degrees)
Front Toe total 0degrees 00minutes (0.00degrees)
Rear Toe 0degrees 06minutes (0.1degrees) per wheel toe in [0degrees 12minutes (0.2degrees) Total toe in]

12. Check the headlight alignment and reset if necessary as per the workshop manual

 

Same settings as the Prodrive settings sheet I had with the springs, thanks for taking the time to get them for me.

 

No worries, can't believe how flat the car sits with these....you go into a roundabout and get virtually no body roll at all......

Loads of fun especially if mr boy racer want's to play (why do they do that...??? up yer **** in a Saxo or Fiesta)

Rather then mess about proving a point I just don't slow down for a roundabout, then check your mirror to see Mr boy racers car almost falling over!!

 

hi can anyone recommend a garage that set's the geometry up. why i'm asking is i have to take my prodrive in to cvc on weds to have new shock on the back i dont know how long it's been knacked but from day 1 of owning the car the handling has been crap. so i'm willing to try anything to make it a bit better. thank's steve

 

They should align everything when they fit the new shock. I can recommend A&A Tyres (just round the corner from CVC). Make sure you take the Prodrive settings in with you or they will set it up as a standard impreza.

Do the same thing myself, no point in burning petrol when you can just stay off the brakes to prove your point

 

Exactly, dropping the box and shooting off seems pointless, and make you look like you have got something to prove, the roundabout trick just make's you giggle to yourself

 

especially in the wet al. luv to see the fwd brigade scrabbling for grip.
