I have been told over on the focus ST oc's that there is a rally happening in Pembrey. The first car is at 10am and it is £10 per car.

 

I went last year and it was a good day out

 

It's a really good day, been for the last 3 years. A good mix of cars from WRC Scoobs to Mark 2 escorts

You need to wrap up warm though, it's very open to the wind there

 

i only live two minutes from pembrey and never been to see a rally so may pop down see what its like

 

Like Danny said, its a good event for the xmas period but blinkin freezing cold down there.

I'll be going again this year as its anice mix of Classic rally cars plus WRC spec models.

Yes Peter Lloyd has just bought an S12 , very nice , well it should be for
£250k but he won't be there as he's going away for christmas.

I have an entry in for this but it filled up within a week and I am on the reserve list I hope I get a run.

Hi, I will be there as it is only takes about 10 mins from my house, and about 20 minutes if I take the enjoyable route... by the way watch out for speed camera vans on the millenium coastal road, Pwll ( in a layby right before the national speed limit ), Burry Port just as you come in and before you leave, Pembrey just by the church and again before you enter the national speed limit, oh and the numerous patrol cars and at least 3 static Gatso cameras as well between the motorway and race circuit.

would the scenic route be trimsaren way by any chance theres a great lane that comes out near that pub on the corner at the end of pembrey cant remember what its called just watch out for chickens

 

I do not go as far as Trimsaran (Stradey Woods is a cracking drive in itself), take a left on top of the hill (marked with the picnic area sign) and keep on that road all the way down Pembrey mountain which is like a rally stage itself but you have to watch out for tractors , OR go through Trimsaran and carry on straight to Kidwelly that is a cracking little stretch of road.

 

thats the way i go but just before you get to the end of that straight take a right its a kinda fork in the road. thats the road im on about takes you through some great bends which you cant see around or over and when you come to the bottom you join a kind of main road and it just pops out 600 yards from pembrey circuit.
