Angry how to bleed and remove air lock help please.

hi people after bursting a hose on my classic wrx the bloody thing keeps steaming like hell when it gets hot. and more so when i switch the car off im told this could be caused by an air lock trapped in the water system as the radiator hose seems to be presureising when its hot can any 1 help me by telling me how to bleed the system please cheers all

hi mate if you take the header tank top off then fire up the car that will get rid of any air locks youve got in the system.

Where is it steaming from on the engine? What is the temp like when you turn the ignition?

Perhaps the PRV in the coolant cap is up the swanee? May be worth a check.

hay people sorry i didnt reply last night i was off line at the time.well this is the thing. i replaced the radiator hose and thought it was an air lock but ive run the car with the cap off for a while untill the air escaped but the radiator hose seems to be still preasureising when the car is hot. i think that it has caused the seal on the top of the headrer tank to leek now. i think thats where the steam is comming from

the temp is fine its as normal about half way up the guage. should i expect there to be presure in the hose or should there not be preasure? im worried that this could cause damage.im told that i might have blown the head gasket.please some body tell me that this aint the case . there aint no gunk inside the oil cap to sugest this

Is it a standard plastic header tank? If so they are prone to cracking/splitting at the pipe returning at the top of the heading tank

drain the system and take all the caps off ie rad/header tank and fill the system through the turbo (hose that comes of the turbo to the header tank) once water is coming out of the top of the rad replace the cap, and do the same once it flows out the header tank . replace the pipe bk on the header tank job done
