help needed please
The ECU is located in the passenger footwell. Pull up the carpet and there will be a metal heel plate held in place by four (i think) screws, unscrew and lift the metal plate off and the ECU is underneath, usually with a clear piece of plastic over it.
As for "chipping" the ECU, I would stay well clear... Most chips just fool the ECU and if the engine does go bang, well lets just say they cost a pretty penny to put right (I talk from experience)...
You are much better off having a proper remap, more expensive I know but this is the only way to ensure it will run right...

Totally agree with the boys above...steer well clear of off the shelf chips.
Remappable ECU's are the way forward. You may save a couple of quid with a chip, but it'll cost you a few thousand when the engine goes bang.
