After my dealings with the police and the safety camera partnership, the Words "lying cheating b4stards" would spring to mind.

bwahahaha. You wheelspun your 4 wheel drive car. I couldn't wheelspin mine if I tried. It was probably the van, and the thought process went like this:
- I just heard someone wheelspin
- If I can do someone for this, it'll get my stats up
- I didn't see who did it, who can I stick this on?
- Oh god, look at that boy racer with a f**king stupid pointless gay wing and big pointless scoop on the front and those crappy aftermarket gold alloys, he'll do
- Perfect, the spotty 17yr old little **** wont know how to defend himself
- Right, which button turns the woo-woos on again? ahh here it is.
- Nope thats the wipers, ahh, found it now.

If this was taken far enough wouldn't the Police have to prove that it is possible to wheel spin your car at the same junction under the same conditions?
The point is that they have to prove your guilt. You don't have to prove your innocence. On that basis I wouldn't worry.

The point is this - if the car cannot be wheel spun how can you get nicked for wheel spinning.
Isn't it the same as the cops trying to do me for going 130 in my 106 diesel even though its only capable of 80 before it starts breaking up?

Yes, but in the real world you end up in the magistrates court and magistrates are lay people with too much time on their hands and who know bugger all about cars, typically they are elderly busybodys who will believe anything the copper says.
Imagine trying to explain the above to PSLewis, do you see the problem here?

i was in court a long time ago for an alleged driving offence (overtaking and pulling in just in front of oncoming copper) id pulled in about 100 yards befor cop passed me. they followed me and nicked me. i said i did not do what they said and ill see them in court. i did not want the 6 points they wanted to give me. court comes and im in the waiting room just about to go in, the copper comes in and starts talkng to their mate saying i did nt really do anything wrong , they just wanted to nick me. the copper went in first to give his evidence, then it was my turn, i walked in and winked at the copper, his face hit the floor. the magistrate asked me what speed i was doing , at that point i told the bench what i had just heard outside and they just looked at the copper and said sorry and sent me home.not guilty

I don't know much about the court process but if a magistrate were to attempt to find me guilty of something that I can (with given opportunity) demonstrate my innocence i would pursue it.
I think this means requesting trial by jury. Surely then the prosecution would have to prove your guilt.
Magistrates are useless and I have experienced the worst type of them many years ago.

Always take the Police on and go to court unless it's a minor £60 offence, the CPS (couldn't prosecute Satan) will not take you on unless there is quite a bit of actual physical evidence against you.
Dave.
