Yep we all saw the crash!!!!!

We said the lap before the crash his front nearside seemed under inflated as it appeared to be jumping and making noises.

And low and behold the following lap he went off.

Glad you are both ok, What did his wife say????

tyre pressures were checked before we went out but they were brand new not scrubbed in and i felt the car moved around alot more than it does normaly the red evo had the same tyres he felt the same the suspension set up on the car is cusco coilovers fitted by norris design and the car on bridgstones which he had on before were brilliant through quarry

As Danny said the tyres sounded odd the lap before the off - we put it down to pressures. Tyres need scrubbing in for simple road use, let alone track action

There must be something about Quarry. I saw a scoob go in hard there a year or 2 ago only 2 days after coming back from the bodyshop following a track accident!!

To be fair i though the Evo's damage could/would have been a lot worse than it turned out

Not sure what tyres you had on, looked like R888's to me which are fantastic when you have a bit of heat in them and are scrubbed in but they do need quite a lot of scrubbing in which may have been the main reason for your off.

I'm pleased to hear your ok and that you took out the track day cover.

Understatement of the century there Rob. Quarry is one of the most challenging corners in the UK, mainly due to the camber changes as you come over avon rise.

No statement made Twig - Was referring to how it likes putting cars back into body shops that have only just come out of one!
