Definately have your docs on you at all times Yan, it pays off in the end....

I got stopped a few years ago in Belgium on my back from Germany, was doing 160kmh in a 120kmh in my Scoob. I didn't realise the guy on the bike behind me was plod

He pulled me over and started speaking in German (I had Bosch plates on) I said I only speak English so he went off on one in Belgian 'Flerdy werdy burby hirdy' Then he asked me what I learnt in school. 'French' I replied. Low and behold, he was fluent in that too

He told me I was doing 160kmh for the last 2km and so the fine would be 280euros!!!! WTF?? 'I haven't got that much on me' came my response to which he smiled and said 'Then I must take your car' Bugger

I said if I could follow him to a bank then I'd get the money out for him but after examining my docs, my licence and my Army ID for several minutes he said 'The speed limit in Belgium and the Netherlands is 120kmh, stick to it, have a nice day!!'

cheers buddy

As above guys. They can and DO impound your car for various offences as well. A few of my mates got caught with "cough" a few to many oily rags and it was a Customs bust of your car as payment and confiscation or hand over the oily's.

They gave up the oily's.
